We are currently seeking applications for a Clinical/Neuro Psychologist to join our disability services on a fixed term basis for 12 months with possibility of ongoing employment, working within the Capacity Building Team based at Oats Street, East Victoria Park. The Clinical/Neuro Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (including Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Workers and other Clinical Psychologists), and provides quality, appropriate and relevant clinical psychological services to meet the needs of residents/clients of Brightwater Care Group who predominately live in the community.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring and identifying triggers of emerging behaviours and provide appropriate intervention and treatment strategies following behaviour assessment and intervention approaches. In addition, you will be responsible for providing a consultancy service, training and education services on psychological and neuropsychologial related issues that relate to the client and their families.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Masters/Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuro Psychology or Neuro Psychology
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with specialist endorsement
  • Demonstrated clinical experience as a Clinical/Neuro Psychologist including providing clinical leadership and expertise working with clients with acquired brain injury or clients in the community with “complex health issues'
  • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills that deliver effective leadership, builds and develops teamwork and establishes successful working relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in the provision of quality clinical services including providing clinical leadership and demonstrated expertise in the area of specialisation
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health legislation; Disability Services Commission Standards (1988)
  • Current satisfactory National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
  • Possess a current Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License
